Air separation plants for oxygen production

NOXERIOR is the largest company in Europe involved in the development and production of compressed air separation as well as nitrogen and oxygen recovery systems. The company’s plant is located in Grossetto, Italy. Its own research center and testing laboratory enable the company to continuously improve its production, which allows it to achieve the best results and outpace the competition by several steps.

High reliability, energy efficiency, and minimal operating costs have allowed NOXERIOR’s production to gain a strong position in such fields as medicine, oil and gas extraction, food industry, metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, and many others. Each year, the company produces over 1500 nitrogen and oxygen generators, delivered practically to all corners of the world.

ADVANTAGES OF NOXERIOR NITROGEN AND OXYGEN GENERATORS:

  • A microprocessor control system based on a Siemens controller, along with a 10-inch touch screen graphic panel, ensures the highest quality and reliability, confirmed by tens of thousands of units operating worldwide, including in Poland;
  • The patented system for separating compressed air inside the nitrogen generator, FlatFlow®, provides maximum efficiency during compressed air separation and reduces compressed air consumption;
  • Only parts and components from leading global manufacturers are used in the production
  • The lifespan of the molecular sieve is at least 20 years;
  • Minimal expenses related to servicing the unit;
  • The zirconium oxygen analyzer ensures maximum functionality, an unlimited lifespan, and does not require annual calibration or testing;
  • The flow meter is installed inside the nitrogen generator;
  • Compressed air with a dew point of plus 30°C is sufficient for the operation of the nitrogen generator;
  • The design of the nitrogen generator is made of welded connections and consists of cylindrical aluminum pipes.
  • Increasing the nitrogen consumption volume leads to cost reduction. To increase the efficiency of the nitrogen generator, only a section needs to be added, there is no need to purchase a new unit. All components (valves, pipe fittings, pipelines) are designed for maximum nitrogen generator efficiency;
  • Compared to traditional tower-type nitrogen generators and standard industrial gas delivery methods, this generator offers a high level of savings;
  • The nitrogen production process in this generator is very efficient, leading to lower energy consumption.
  • This nitrogen generator offers the best air separation performance compared to similar installations;
  • Minimum start-up time;
  • Thanks to remote monitoring and control, the system can be fully automated;
  • Minimal space is required to install this nitrogen generator.

The NITROSWINGR nitrogen generators and OXYSWINGR oxygen generators utilize optimized short-cycle absorption technology to obtain nitrogen or oxygen from atmospheric air. The NITROSWINGR or OXYSWINGR generators have a modular design and consist of several rows of columns (from one to eight) filled with molecular sieve.

The production of technical gas begins with feeding prepared compressed air into one of the vessels. The structure of the molecular sieve is porous. The size of the openings is suitable for the size of the molecules of the non-produced gas that needs to be removed. As a result, the molecules of the gas that needs to be separated are trapped in the openings, while the molecules of the necessary gas freely pass through the vessels with the molecular sieve.

When the maximum saturation in the absorber vessel is reached, the supply of compressed air to the vessel is stopped and the regeneration process begins. The regeneration process involves reducing the pressure, during which the molecules of the trapped gas come out of the molecular sieve and are released into the atmosphere. Each of the vessels with the molecular sieve periodically undergoes the absorption and regeneration phases. The sequence is programmed in such a way as to achieve continuity of gas supply to the system.

This technology allows for obtaining nitrogen with a purity of up to 99.999% and oxygen with a purity of up to 95%.

The standard configuration of the generator includes:

  • A set of filters for purifying compressed air
  • A zirconium analyzer for residual oxygen
  • Tanks made of extruded and electrochemically processed aluminum
  • Pneumatic valves
  • Internal pipelines and stainless steel SS 316 pipe connectors
  • Maintenance-free silencers
  • Regulators for compressed air and produced gas
  • Devices for measuring the pressure of compressed air and produced gas
  • Ethernet connector
  • Nitrogen pressure sensor for switching the generator to energy-saving mode
  • Control system based on an Allen-Bradley controller with a graphical touch panel.
