ECOTROC® ATW-V – ADSORPTION DRYER WITH HEAT REGENERATION IN VACUUM WITH PARALLEL FLOW OF REGENERATION AND ABSORPTION.
Technical data of the system:
- Regeneration is carried out at the expense of heated atmospheric air flowing parallel to the absorption process.
- Cooling with atmospheric air also takes place in parallel to absorption.
- No loss of compressed air for blowing.
Operating principle:
During the drying process, regeneration starts in the second absorption vessel while the first vessel is in use. The vacuum pump located at the bottom of the vessel draws in surrounding air, which flows parallel to the absorption process. This air is heated in an electric heater to approximately 160°C. Regeneration of the absorbent at a lower temperature compared to standard methods is possible due to the vacuum in the vessel. The heater is controlled by a thermostat and turns off after approximately 1.5 hours when the required regeneration temperature is reached. The vacuum pump continues to operate to cool the absorbent. The EDC control system ensures continuous operation with automatic column switching.
ERETROC® ATW-V – ADSORPTION DRYER WITH HEAT VACUUM REGENERATION IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION TO ABSORPTION.
Technical data of the system:
- The regeneration is carried out at the expense of heated atmospheric air in the opposite direction to the absorption process.
- Cooling with atmospheric air is carried out in the direction parallel to the absorption.
- No loss of compressed air during the blowdown.
Moist compressed air passes through the adsorbent in the first column, where air drying takes place. At the same time, regeneration of the adsorbent takes place in the second column. During adsorption, the flow is directed from bottom to top, while during regeneration, the flow is directed in the opposite direction. Heating takes place from top to bottom, and cooling from bottom to top. The vacuum pump draws in the surrounding air through the heater, where the air is heated to about 160°C (depending on the design and performance, the heating temperature can be up to 200°C) and is passed through the adsorbent. Cooling of the dryer starts after the heater is turned off. The regeneration direction is controlled by a special vacuum valve switch. The vacuum pump does not change its rotation direction. This solution has a technical advantage, allowing for saving time and energy.
